Modern Day Demons: Understanding the Human Mind     The Very Rev. Kate Moorehead
                          Parish Hall
Dean Moorehead will lead us in a reflection on our own thoughts and temptations. What does it mean that Jesus was tempted by the devil? How are we tempted daily? Our modern world has sterilized all mental issues by only addressing them medically and therapeutically, but all persons face temptations. All persons have demons that tempt them. How do our demons prevent us from living as children of the Kingdom? Each person will be led to identify some of the ways that they personally are tempted and how to let Jesus cast out those demons. This class is based loosely on two texts: C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters and Dean Moorehead's book Get Over Yourself: God's Here!
The Very Rev. Kate Moorehead is Dean of St. John's Cathedral, Jacksonville, FL.
