Christ Church 20s/30s Ministry
See our 20s/30s brochure: PART 1 PART 2
We are a ministry of fellowship, outreach and spiritual formation for all people—singles, couples, with and without children— in their 20s and 30s. All activities are coordinated by the 20s/30s Council of Christ Church. If you have questions or suggestions, contact John Rohrs.
DINNERS FOR EIGHT
Informal dinner groups for Christ Church members and friends in their 20s & 30s. Groups meet monthly for dinner in members’ homes or at a restaurant. It’s a great way to get to know others in your age range. Contact Michael Greene (mg23525@hotmail.com) for more information
and to register.
ST. BRIDGET'S ECW
St. Bridget’s, one of Christ Church’s chapters of Episcopal Church Women, is sponsored
by members in their 20s & 30s. St. Bridget’s meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm in members’ homes. Members participate in various church fellowship activities and in a number of outreach drives, supporting Interact, Stop Hunger Now! and other organizations. For more information, contact Cara Pierce (274-6493).
OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES
Join us for regular service activities, including Habitat for Humanity workdays, events at Saint Saviour’s (a neighborhood outreach center), and seasonal 5k walks/runs. For more information or to share ideas, contact Vann Taylor (781-1608, vanntaylor3@yahoo.com).
BRUNCH ON 1st SUNDAYS
On the first Sunday of each month, anyone and everyone in the 20s/30s crowd is invited to gather at Morning Times (on E. Hargett St., between Blount and Wilmington) at 12:30 pm. No program, no agenda, just a good time to catch up with friends old and new.
BOJANGLES' AND THE BIBLE
A Bible Study for men meeting from 6:30-7:20 am at the church on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month. The biscuits and the coffee are hot, and the discussions are thoughtful, as we study Scripture and apply it to our lives. Contact John Rohrs (834-6259 or jrohrs@christchurchraleigh.org) for more information.
WINE AND THE WORD
A fun group of women who gather twice a month to support each other on their journeys
of faith. W&W meets in members’ homes on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month, with social time starting at 6:45 pm and discussion from about 7:15-8:45 pm. Light snacks and beverages are served. Contact facilitators Stannie Brewer (781-0699, whifferb@gmail.com) or Ginny McKay (833-4483, mckayg@mac.com) for more information.
NEWCOMER CLASSES
We offer membership classes for newcomers throughout the year. Three stages of classes build on one another, and newcomers can sign up for all or part of the series. The three stages are Life at Christ Church, The Anglican Way, and Christian Basics. For more information or to register, contact Nancy Haywood (834-6259 or nhaywood@christchurchraleigh.org).
