Christ Church, established in 1821 as the first Episcopal parish in Raleigh, welcomes all for worship, fellowship and Christian formation. As a large congregation, Christ Church provides many opportunities for children and youth, families and single persons, long-time Episcopalians and seekers. "The Distinguishing Marks of Christ Church" document states that we seek to proclaim the "radical love of God" through Anglican worship, engaging faith formation, significant outreach, and joyful celebration in order to be a sacred space in the heart of the city of Raleigh.
